Rain and long-awaited cool weather are coming to Kazakhstan

Heat to start easing

According to forecasters, unstable weather is expected across most of Kazakhstan. As atmospheric fronts pass through, many regions will see rain with thunderstorms and stronger winds. Heavy rain is forecast in some areas. Hail and squalls are also possible.

Amid the rainfall, the extreme heat will gradually begin to weaken. Daytime air temperatures will be:

• in northern and northwestern Kazakhstan — +20...+30 degrees;
• in central and eastern regions — +22...+35 degrees;
• in the south and southeast — +27...+35 degrees.

Where strong heat will persist

Western Kazakhstan will be the exception. Strong heat will persist there due to the movement of hot air masses from Iran.

According to Kazhydromet, daytime temperatures in western regions will reach +30...+42 degrees.
