Tengrinews.kz - Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting to implement the instructions voiced by the President during an extended government meeting on January 28.
Deputy Prime Ministers, ministers and the leadership of a number of organizations reported on plans to ensure the growth of economic sectors, improve the legislative environment for investors, develop the rare earth metals industry, create a nuclear cluster, reform the subsoil use industry, modernize road and transport and logistics, engineering infrastructure, ensure the principle of "Law and Order," introduce digital solutions and artificial intelligence, further improve the quality of educational and medical services.
Olzhas Bektenov emphasized that the main focus of the government's work for the coming period is to ensure economic growth aimed at improving the standard of living of citizens. The Cabinet of Ministers will make prompt decisions in all areas and ensure the timely implementation of the President's instructions.
"We must actively work to attract investment, reform the tax and budget policy and the subsoil use sector, strengthen the country's competitive advantages, improve the business climate, infrastructure and energy development, build a comprehensive digitalization system and reformat the social security system. The government has all the powers to do this. Ministers and akims must make prompt decisions and bear full responsibility for the implementation of the tasks set," the Prime Minister said.
Olzhas Bektenov demanded specific results in each direction, which the Head of State spoke about on January 28.
"Effect from each leader - both in the center and at the local level. It is necessary to deal with solving specific problems of investors, not to red tape, but on the contrary, to help businessmen come, develop, build factories, enterprises, production facilities. Each leader must put this at the forefront of his work. Only specific work.
It is impossible to achieve a positive result in the new conditions, using old, bureaucratic methods of work, formalism. I instruct government agencies to focus on the high-quality implementation of the tasks set by the Head of State, and to take decisive measures without unnecessary red tape. They expect specific results from us," Olzhas Bektenov noted.
The Prime Minister focused on a number of priority areas of work, with an emphasis on strictly strengthening budget discipline and a balanced distribution of the state budget among priority areas.
