Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will pay an official visit to Kyrgyzstan, Akorda reports.
It is stated that on August 22, at the invitation of President Sadyr Japarov, Head of State Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will make an official visit to the Kyrgyz Republic.
“In Bishkek, talks will be held between the heads of state aimed at further strengthening Kazakh-Kyrgyz strategic partnership and alliance,” the statement reads.
The presidents will also take part in a meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
Reminder: on July 21, the President of Kazakhstan ratified the treaty on expanding allied relations with Kyrgyzstan. The treaty is aimed at further strengthening bilateral ties and provides for improving the mechanism of meetings at the highest and high levels, enhancing coordination in politics and security, conducting regular exchanges of views, and aligning positions on key regional and international issues.
The document also reaffirms the parties’ intention to expand cooperation in a number of priority areas, including political, military, trade and economic, investment, agricultural, transit and transport, water and energy, scientific and technical, educational, and cultural-humanitarian spheres.
