Tengrinews.kz - President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presented awards to law enforcement officers, according to the press service of Akorda.
The Head of State spoke at the award ceremony for law enforcement officers - winners of the UAE SWAT Challenge tournament, which was held in Dubai.
It is noted that 12 teams from Kazakhstan took part in the competition this year. The silver medalists were the teams of the Ministry of Internal Affairs 'Sunkar' and 'Tomiris', the team of the National Security Committee 'Arystan' took fourth place. Good results were also shown by employees of the State Security Service and the Ministry of Defense.
The Head of State congratulated the winners, emphasizing that their success is the result of hard training and high preparation.
"The name of the country is created by its hero (Eldin atyn er shygarar - Kazakh folk proverb). Our fighters represented the country with honor on the international stage, showcasing the strength of Kazakhstani warriors to the world. We are proud of you. Such victories inspire the entire nation, especially the youth. Strong warriors are the reliable support of the state," said Tokayev.
The President emphasized that the traditions of courage are deeply rooted in the history of the Kazakh people.
"This year we celebrate a significant anniversary - the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory. This is a tribute to all Kazakhstanis who selflessly fought at the front and worked in the rear, defending the ideals of freedom and justice. Our duty is to preserve in the memory of generations the unparalleled feats of our heroes. Today, you, as descendants of a people glorious for its military traditions, deeply understand your sacred duty and faithfully serve the Motherland. All your efforts are aimed at preserving peaceful life in our country. We can confidently call you the guardians of Law and Order. Law and Order are the foundation of a fair and safe state," Tokayev said.
