Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, speaking at the Digital Bridge 2025 International Forum in Astana, announced the launch of Alem.ai, according to Akorda.
The president emphasized the importance of responsible use of artificial intelligence technologies. He noted that at the first meeting of the AI Development Council in Astana, key issues discussed included education, human capital development, and the decision to establish the country's first research university in the field of AI.
“In addition, today the International Artificial Intelligence Center Alem.ai will be opened, which can be described as a factory of ideas and innovation. Overall, Kazakhstan is open to all forms of cooperation in this field. We also plan to launch a second supercomputing cluster in our country,” the Head of State said.
He emphasized that artificial intelligence must serve only good purposes, with human well-being as the top priority.
“Alem.ai is intended to become a global hub where artificial intelligence technologies are implemented effectively and in line with ethical standards. It is extremely important to apply AI responsibly. The new university and Alem.ai center will form the foundation of a unified AI ecosystem,” Tokayev added.
As a reminder, on October 1, the AI Development Council held a session in Astana. During the meeting, President Tokayev stressed the need to create a specialized research university in the field of artificial intelligence in Kazakhstan.
