President of Turkmenistan will visit Astana at Tokayev’s invitation

Tengrinews.kz – The President of Turkmenistan will visit Astana, according to a statement from Akorda.

At the invitation of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will pay a state visit to Astana on November 24–25.

The visit will include high-level talks focused on strengthening the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.

It is noted that the President of Turkmenistan has already visited Astana this year. In May, Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived to participate in the Central Asia – Italy summit, which took place on May 30 with the participation of the region’s heads of state.

In June, Berdimuhamedov visited again to attend the Central Asia – China summit held on June 17, also with the participation of regional leaders.

In August, Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the President of Kazakhstan in Turkmenistan, during which the parties discussed strengthening cooperation in trade and economic relations, energy, and transit and transport spheres.

The presidents once again reaffirmed their commitment to the comprehensive development of the strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan.
