Tengrinews.kz - During a working visit to Almaty, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the city's akim (governor) Erbolat Dossaev, according to the press service of "Akorda".
The Head of State set a number of tasks for the akim "to ensure city lighting in the evening, timely and full supply of water to city residents' apartments, and improvement of streets and courtyards."
In addition, Tokayev pointed out the need for proper implementation of regular "Taza Kazakhstan" campaigns, landscaping the city and streamlining traffic in order to improve environmental friendliness, as well as addressing other issues of concern to residents of the metropolis.
The akim was instructed to strengthen management activities to restore proper order in the largest city, strengthen its status as a financial, sports, tourism and cultural hub of the country.
It is reported that the akim of Almaty will report once every two weeks on the work carried out and the measures taken directly to the Head of State.
