Tengrinews.kz – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev took part in the ceremony of raising the State Flag in Astana. The Head of State noted that Kazakhstan’s sacred symbols are a vivid embodiment of the values of its people.

“I congratulate you on the Day of State Symbols! This is a holiday of special significance for every citizen of our sacred Motherland. On this day, we raise our banner high. In doing so, we demonstrate to the whole world that we are a proud sovereign country. Our sacred symbols are a vivid embodiment of the values of our people. Each of them reflects our national identity,” he said.

The President recalled that the coat of arms is a vivid image of Kazakhstan’s statehood.

“The anthem is the majestic voice of our freedom. The sky-blue banner is the embodiment of our Independence. It would not be an exaggeration to say that these symbols, which we honor and revere, are a kind of three pillars representing our statehood. History knows many examples of our people uniting under one banner, carefully preserving unity and harmony. And today, our country is strengthening its cohesion and confidently moving forward,” he noted.

Kazakhstan’s state symbols were adopted on June 4, 1992. They include the flag, the coat of arms and the anthem.
