Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister wrote in his Twitter June 26 that he was heading for Paris, Tengrinews.kz reports. Earlier it was reported that PM Massimov was to visit Paris June 26-27. During the visit the sides are expected to tally results of the agreements reached at the highest levels. KazTag, citing Christiane Keriel, adviser to the General Directorate of higher education, reported June 14 that Kazakhstan and France are expected to “sign agreements for Kazakhstan’s young researchers to have internships with leading technical universities of France”. "Interfax-Kazakhstan" reported June 20 that during his visit to France Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov would discuss launching direct flights between the two nations. “We will definitely dwell on economic issues. One of the major projects is about launching direct flights between our nations. I hope the project will succeed”, Interfax-Kazakhstan agency quoted Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of France in the Republic of Kazakhstan Mr. Jean-Charles Berthonnet as saying. France and Kazakhstan had signed contracts worth two billion euros during a Paris visit of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev in October 2010.
