Kazakhstan’s Prime Minister Karim Massimov has instructed Minister of Oil and Gas Sauat Mynbayev to control fuel supply across Kazakhstan. “I am instructing Minister Mynbayev to make sure fuel supply is smooth and stable across Kazakhstan”, Mr. Massimov wrote in his Twitter account. Kazakhstan is one of the top grain producers in the world. Now the country is facing a sowing campaign which traditionally entails hikes of prices for lubricants and fuels. This year the situation can be aggravated against the backdrop of fuel shortages in a number of regions in neighboring Russia. Ban on fuel exports in Kazakhstan is in effect until May 1.
