Tengrinews.kz - A message appeared online about a collision between a well-known airline plane and a bird on the Phu Quoc – Astana route. Is this true?

In one of the posts on Threads, a Kazakhstani woman reported an incident that happened the other day.

"The flight from Kazakhstan to Vietnam is quite difficult and long in itself, especially with children. And then there was a stop in Shymkent, plus it turned out that a bird crashed into our plane. Of course, a huge thanks to the pilots who landed the plane without any complaints!" the text of her post says.

We decided to clarify the information regarding this situation with SCAT airline.

"After landing flight VSV5355 Phu Quoc - Astana in Shymkent for refueling due to a strong headwind, the crew discovered a bird strike. The airline sent an additional aircraft to eliminate the consequences of the incident. Passengers received hot meals and were accommodated in hotels in the city while waiting for the flight. Passenger safety is the airline's top priority," the carrier told us.

By the way, Phu Quoc is the largest island in Vietnam. It is known for its beaches and nature. The island attracts travelers from all over the world. Last year, Vietnamese airline Vietjet Air started regular flights on the Phu Quoc – Astana route, with two flights per week.
