Tengrinews.kz – President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held talks with U.S. President Donald Trump in the Oval Office of the White House, according to Akorda’s press service.
Kazakhstan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yermek Kosherbayev, also attended the meeting, while the U.S. side was represented by Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, and Secretary of the Economy Scott Bessant.


Earlier, on the night of November 6, the President of Kazakhstan arrived in Washington on an official visit.
Today, Tokayev’s program began with a meeting with Secretary of State Marco Rubio, U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnik, and the Special Representative of the U.S. President for South and Central Asia, Sergio Gor.
The participants exchanged views on key aspects of bilateral and regional agendas.
In addition, in the presence of President Tokayev, a memorandum of understanding between Kazakhstan and the United States on cooperation in the field of critical minerals was signed.
The document was signed by Kazakhstan’s Minister of Industry and Construction Yersayin Nagaspaev and U.S. Secretary of Commerce Howard Lutnick.
It was also announced that Kazakhstan will join the Abraham Accords.
