Tengrinews.kz - A passenger was sentenced to 20 days of administrative arrest following a conflict with a bus driver in Semey.
The incident was caught on video by eyewitnesses, showing the passenger striking the driver of a moving bus. The offender was detained the same day. The court reviewed the case under Part 2 of Article 434 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CoAO), concerning petty hooliganism.
Authorities determined that citizen I. used obscene language toward the driver during an argument on bus No. 2. In court, he partially admitted guilt and acknowledged disturbing public order.
It was also revealed that the same individual had already faced administrative charges in early June under Part 1 of Article 434 of the CoAO for "violating rules of conduct at sports, mass cultural, and entertainment events."
After reviewing the case materials, the court found the man guilty and sentenced him to 20 days of administrative arrest.
"Part 2 of Article 434 of the CoAO provides for administrative liability for obscene language in public places, offensive harassment of individuals, and other actions showing disrespect for others and disturbing public order—committed repeatedly within a year after a prior administrative penalty. The offense was confirmed by collected and reviewed evidence," the regional court's press service reported.
The court's decision has not yet entered into legal force.
The conflict was captured by eyewitnesses. The footage shows a man in a black baseball cap yelling aggressively at the driver, while nearby passengers try to calm him down. In the next frame, the offender is seen standing outside, making obscene gestures.

The offender was identified as a 45-year-old resident of Semey.
