Over half of Astana residents can exercise suffrage

Over half of Astana residents can exercise suffrage at the forthcoming presidential elections, Tengrinews.kz reports, citing the Central Election Commission (CEC). According to the CEC, 339 985 out of 697 257 people living in Astana enjoy universal suffrage. In a separate statement, the CEC announced that another 12 polling stations have been launched (altogether, there are currently 218 stations); a total of 1 526 members of local election commissions have been registered, with 61 % of them representing 8 parties.
