Eyewitnesses filmed a crowd of police cars, fire trucks and ambulances near the school. After a full investigation, it turned out that the call was false.
"The information about the planted bomb was not confirmed," the police department of the Mangystau region reported.
Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that since the beginning of the year, 168 criminal cases have been opened in Kazakhstan on the fact of false reports of acts of terrorism, 31 people have been detained, including 12 minors. 13 people have been convicted, including two teenagers. Six parents have been fined.
"Every false call is a panic among the civilian population, disruption of the work of important enterprises. They cause significant harm not only in the form of material damage, but also unjustifiably distract the forces and resources of emergency services. For a knowingly false report of an act of terrorism, punishment is provided, ranging from a fine of up to 5,000 MCI (18.4 million tenge) up to imprisonment for up to 5 years," Shyngys Alekeshev reminded Kazakhstanis.
Persons who have reached the age of 14 are subject to criminal liability for this crime. If the age of a minor does not exceed 14 years, then in this case his parents are held liable for failure to take measures to raise children. In addition, by a court decision, the parents are sued for damages caused to the state in the form of expenses for the departure of emergency services to a false call and inspection of facilities.
