OIC changed its name and emblem

Organization of the Islamic Conference changed its name an emblem, Tengrinews.kz reports from the 38th session of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs in Astana.Slight changes were made to the Organization's name. The word “conference” was replaced by “cooperation”. The Organization of the Islamic Cooperation is the new name of the OIC.The emblem was changed significantly. It currently consists of the Crescent, the Globe and Ka'bah, a focal point of the Islamic world. The resolution on changing the Organization's name and emblem was read out by Chairman of OIC CMFA, Kazakhstan Minister of Foreign Affairs Yerzhan Kazykhanov.
