Nurmukhambet Abdibekov appointed Akim (Mayor) of Aktobe, Tengrinews.kz reports. Earlier he worked as Kazakhstan Vice-Minister of Industry and New Technologies. Yerkhan Umarov is appointed deputy Akim of Aktobe oblast. He worked as deputy of Aktobe Akim since October 2008. Previous deputy Akim of Aktobe oblast Khalizhan Abdiraiymov was released from his office and moved to another job. Nurmukhambet Abdibekov was born on December 21, 1961 in Arkalyk. He graduated from Moscow Mining Institute in 1984. In 1996 he was appointed Head of Department of Development of Fuel-Energy Complex and Mineral Resources of Oblast Industry and Trade Administration (Aktobe). 1997-1998 he worked as Head of Department of Foreign Economic Policy and Investments of Oblast Industry and Trade Administration (Aktobe). In 1998-2002 he became head of Economy Administration of Oblast Industry and Trade Administration (Aktobe) and then promoted to the position of Director of Economy Department, then head of Department of Industry, Trade and Small Business Support in Atyrau oblast. In 2003-2007 he worked as Head of Main Economy and Entrepreneurship Support Administration of Atyrau oblast. In 2007-2009 he was Deputy Chairman of NK SPK Batys, Aktobe. In 2009 he was appointed Director of Department of Space Activities Development Strategy of Kazakhstan National Space Agency. In 2009-2010 he worked as a Chairman of Industry Commission of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. In 2010-2011 he served as Vice-Minister of Industry and New Technologies. Former Akim of Aktobe Oblast Yeleussin Sagindikov was replaced by former Akim of Aktobe Arkhimed Mukhambetov. He was put forth as candidate to this position for approval of the deputies of oblast Maslikhat (local representative authority) and regional administration by Head of the Presidential Administration Aslan Mussin.
