Tengrinews.kz - The National Security Committee reported the interception of a drug trafficking channel, one person detained.
The National Security Committee (NSC) has reported the disruption of a drug supply channel and the arrest of one individual.
According to the statement, in February, NSC departments in the Zhambyl region and Almaty, in coordination with the prosecutor's office, successfully intercepted a drug trafficking route.

"A Kazakhstani citizen has been detained and remanded in custody by court order. Authorities seized 13 kilograms of the psychotropic substance 'mephedrone.' A pre-trial investigation is underway under Part 3 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code," the report states.
Other details are not subject to disclosure under Part 1 of Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
Earlier, NSC and police conducted a joint operation in the Zhetysu region, where three individuals were arrested on suspicion of drug distribution and extremist material dissemination.
