Tengrinews.kz – The National Security Committee reported the disruption of a drug trafficking channel, with two Kazakhstanis arrested.

Tengrinews.kz – The National Security Committee reported the disruption of a drug trafficking channel, with two Kazakhstanis arrested.

In February 2025, the NSC Department for the Akmola region, in coordination with the prosecutor's office, intercepted a drug supply channel from the southern regions of the country.

"With court approval, two citizens of Kazakhstan have been taken into custody. They were found in possession of 15 kilograms of hashish. A pre-trial investigation is underway under Part 3 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code," the statement said.

Other details are not subject to disclosure under Part 1 of Article 201 of the Criminal Procedure Code.
