Tengrinews.kz — On July 16, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev met with executives from leading Chinese high-tech companies in Shanghai, citing the Akorda presidential residence.
During a roundtable meeting with representatives of the Chinese business community, the President of Kazakhstan expressed his gratitude to Chinese partners and spoke highly of the permanent comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that Kazakhstan and China could together shape the landscape of a new technological era in Eurasia.
"Kazakhstan is always ready to ensure a favorable business environment for Chinese investors. We guarantee legislative protection for investments, provide modern infrastructure and a qualified workforce, and offer comprehensive state support. Our goal is not merely to attract capital. We strive for the joint development of new technologies, the creation of R&D centers, the formation of new production chains, and the development of human capital that will drive the future-oriented knowledge economy," the President of Kazakhstan said.
He also expressed hope that today's meeting would pave the way for new joint projects and large-scale investments.
Tokayev arrives in Shanghai at the invitation of Xi Jinping
It should be noted that on July 15, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev arrived in Shanghai for a working visit at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
