A northwestern cyclone has hit
As noted by meteorologists, just as residents of the northern regions began to feel the arrival of spring, enjoying sunshine and warmth, a northwestern cyclone swept into Kazakhstan, bringing a noticeable drop in temperatures and a shift from rain to snow. Even residents of the southern regions felt traces of the cold.
“However, the spring surprises are not over yet: in the coming days, rain will persist in the northern and eastern regions, which on April 19 may again turn into snow,” the statement says.
What about the temperature?
Despite the rain, a gradual rise in air temperature is expected across Kazakhstan. Only the western part of the country is forecasted to experience truly spring-like weather — it will be sunny, with daytime temperatures reaching 25–30 degrees Celsius.
