Tengrinews.kz — A photo has surfaced from an informal meeting between the Presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Vladimir Putin. It was published by the presidential press secretary, Ruslan Zheldibay.
During the informal meeting at the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin suggested to Kassym-Jomart Tokayev that they “have a little tea or coffee and talk privately.”
Judging by the photo, the informal dinner took place in the Blue Drawing Room of the Senate Palace — the official residence of the Russian president.
The picture shows a table decorated with flowers. In addition to tableware, menus, and glasses of water, there are pens and paper on the table. Both presidents have removed their jackets.
Earlier today, President Tokayev arrived in Russia on a state visit at the invitation of Vladimir Putin.
He is expected to hold talks and, via video link, address the plenary session of the 21st Kazakhstan–Russia Interregional Cooperation Forum in Uralsk. A number of important bilateral documents are planned to be signed during the visit.
