New nature reserves will be established in Kazakhstan

According to the ministry, climate change may affect wildlife by altering their habitat, as well as the availability of food and water.
"However, to date, the ministry does not have any information regarding the impact of climate change on the terrestrial wildlife of the Aral and Caspian regions," the ministry said in response to an inquiry from Tengrinews.kz.
Additionally, the Ministry of Ecology shared plans to create new nature reserves across the country.
"At the same time, the establishment of specially protected natural areas is recognized by the global community as the most effective measure for wildlife conservation. The ministry is working on creating new reserves and expanding existing ones," the statement read.
Previously, the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation announced that plans are underway to increase water levels in the northern part of the Aral Sea.
