Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund will be focused on innovation-driven industrial projects, Kuandyk Bishimbayev, Vice Chairman of the Board at Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Wealth Fund, told a Tengrinews.kz journalist. “Since its creation, Samruk-Kazyna has been more involved in anti-crisis initiatives, dealing with troubled banking sector, real estate sector, insolvent debtors of banks (…) with the economy upturn, the Fund will be more focused on industrial projects”, Mr. Bishimbayev said. According to Mr. Bishimbayev, the Fund is working on raising its transparency. “Now the Fund’s annual report is under way. This report will present the Fund’s 2010 performance in detail, with analytical findings (…)”. Besides, the website of the Fund will be upgraded, “so that it would contain detailed information for prospect investors, partners, NGOs and for common people”. In a separate statement, Mr. Bishimbayev said that stable infrastructure companies will be the first to be offered as part of the People’s IPO.
