Nazarbayev orders to amnesty prisoners

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has ordered to amnesty prisoners on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Independence of Kazakhstan, Interfax-Kazakhstan reports. President Nazarbayev gave instructions to prepare the amnesty bill at the meeting of the Security Council of Kazakhstan. Previous amnesty in Kazakhstan took place in 2006. More than 34 thousand convicts were released then. On March 3 Senator Gani Kasymov called to the government of Kazakhstan to amnesty preionser on the occasion of the forthcoming presidential elections, Tengrinews.kz reported earlier. Senator said that more than 60 thousand imprisoned in Kazakhstan.
