Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev gave instructions to Imangali Tasmagambetov after his re-appointment as Akim (Mayor) of Astana, Tengrinews.kz reports citing the President's Akorda website. “First of all it is necessary to step up work with the investors in Astana and also to ensure implementation of all the plans under industrial-innovative development program. Special attention should be given to employment of Astana residents,” reported the press-service citing Nazarbayev. Another task given by the President was to complete construction of all the residential buildings constructed as part of government-sponsored programs by the end of the year. “Schedules of construction of social facilities should be closely controlled," he said. Nursultan Nazarbayev said: “Together with the city administration, Akim Imangali Tasmagambetov and his team, I want to achieve higher results and improve our capital and make it a beautiful modern city. Requirements to the capital will always be high.”
