The National Coordination Center of Emergency Aviation will be launched this coming July to render timely medical aid to victims of car crashes. “Medical aid to victims of car crashes should be rendered within an hour. That is the “golden hour” rule we should stick with when it comes to precious people’s lives”, PM Massimov wrote in his Twitter account following his visit to the Center June 25. “If first medical aid is rendered to victims of car crashes within an hour, disability and mortality rates fall nearly twofold”, Minister of Healthcare Salidat Kairbekova said when showing the PM round the Center June 25. According to the PM's blog, the Center is to start operation in July, relying on joint efforts of the Emergency Ministry, Healthcare Ministry, Interior Ministry and the Ministry of Transport and Communications. According to Novosti Kazakhstan , in 2011 the Healthcare Ministry and the Emergency Ministry will purchase 9 helicopters to render timely aid to victims of car crashes. Altogether, 16 helicopters will be purchased for these purposes. Late January in his Keynote Address to the Nation, President Nazarbayev instructed the Government to put in place ad-hoc emergency stations to render aid to victims of car crashes.
