During the on-line conference at Profinance.kz July 8 Kazakhstan’s National Bank Governor Gregory Marchenko said that he had insured his life and real estate and believed it necessary to introduce obligatory real estate insurance against natural disasters. “I do believe such types of insurance should be introduced (…) the reason why insurance schemes are not popular is mentality of public at large”, he said. When asked if he planned to launch his own business following his public service career, he said “I’ve been thinking of one … in theory so far”.
