Tengrinews.kz – Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs continues to gather information on the number of our citizens located in the escalation zone. Foreign missions of Kazakhstan in the relevant countries have been switched to an enhanced mode of operation, the ministry’s press service reported.
According to the ministry, lists of citizens staying in the region, including in transit zones, are being updated. Dedicated chat groups have been created in messaging apps, where compatriots can receive answers to their questions and up-to-date information on the situation in the country, including recommendations.
Emergency hotlines have been opened at the Foreign Ministry and Kazakhstan’s foreign missions.
“The collection of information on the number of our citizens in the escalation zone is ongoing. At the same time, it is important to note that it is difficult to state the exact number of citizens, including those in transit zones,” the ministry said.
Staff of Kazakhstan’s diplomatic missions, together with tour operators, are assisting with accommodation arrangements for citizens staying at airports and in transit zones.
“Measures and routes for the possible evacuation of citizens of Kazakhstan from escalation zones are being worked out. Additional clarifications will be communicated via the official resources of the Foreign Ministry and Kazakhstan’s foreign missions, as well as through notifications in the Kaspi Travel app,” the ministry added.
Citizens are urged to remain calm, comply with the requirements and recommendations of local authorities, avoid high-risk areas, and show understanding with regard to the restrictions imposed.
“As of today, no information has been received about any injured citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” the Foreign Ministry also reported.
Kazakhstanis are asked to closely follow official announcements on the resources of the Foreign Ministry and the country’s foreign missions.
