Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet meteorologists have once again warned residents of Ust-Kamenogorsk.
"On December 20, 2024, adverse meteorological conditions leading to air pollution are expected in the cities of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Ridder," the message states.
Adverse weather conditions involve a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, weak winds, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the lower layer of atmospheric air.
Earlier, forecasters clarified the weather forecast for winter 2024/2025 in Kazakhstan. It is noted that in general, the winter temperature regime is expected to be within the climatic norm with precipitation exceeding the long-term norm. However, periods with cessation of precipitation and abnormally low air temperatures are not excluded.
