Tengrinews.kz - The Kazakhstani Deposit Guarantee Fund published maximum interest rates on deposits.
According to the fund, the following maximum interest rates are in effect in December 2024 for newly attracted deposits from individuals with a fixed interest rate:
The maximum rate on non-term deposits is 14.8% (13.8% in November).
Rates for term deposits with the right of replenishment:
- one month - 14% (14% in November);
- six months - 17% (17% in November);
- 12 months - 14.3% (14.3% in November);
- 24 months - 8.2% (8.2% in November);
- over 24 months - 8.9% (8.9% in November).
Rates for term deposits without the right of replenishment, including savings deposits:
- one month - 15.4% (15.4% in November);
- six months - 18.7% (19% in November);
- 12 months - 16.6% (16.7% in November);
- 24 months - 13.5% (15% in November);
- over 24 months - 11.5% (12.3% in November).
Earlier, two individuals in Astana were convicted for conducting illegal cryptocurrency transactions totaling 7 billion tenge, according to the city's prosecutor's office.
