Massive police operation: Nearly 300 people detained in two days
Tengrinews.kz - The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) conducted an operational and preventive event aimed at locating missing persons and detaining wanted individuals, according to Polisia.kz.

Over the course of two days, 280 wanted criminals were apprehended, including:
- 9 for murder
- 4 for causing serious bodily harm
- 5 for armed robbery
- 7 for theft
- 19 for drug-related offenses
Additionally, 33 criminals were arrested outside Kazakhstan, and 145 individuals were detained at the request of other countries.
Among the arrests, a 36-year-old Kazakh citizen was detained in Armenia for attempting to kill a local resident with a knife in Petropavlovsk at the end of September.
A 42-year-old Kazakh man was apprehended in the Russian city of Oryol by the police's investigative team in Pavlodar. He had swindled 50 million tenge in 2017 by promising to supply diesel fuel to a local company.
In Almaty, police arrested a 28-year-old woman from Uzbekistan, wanted by the Department of Internal
Affairs of the Tashkent region for the murder of her underage daughter in May 2015.
On an Interpol request, a 42-year-old Kazakh citizen was detained in Nuremberg, Germany, for taking $244,000 from a foreigner under the pretense of supplying grain in Pavlodar in late March.
Additionally, police in the Abai region arrested residents of Semey who, as part of an organized criminal group in 2021, stole gold-containing material from a metallurgy plant.
Furthermore, during the operation, law enforcement officials located 53 missing persons.
Earlier, the MIA conducted arrests of several criminal groups in Shymkent.
