Tengrinews.kz - A man was almost sucked into a swampy area at a lake in Almaty, but was rescued in time by emergency crews.

Tengrinews.kz - A man was almost sucked into a swampy area at a lake in Almaty, but was rescued in time by emergency crews.

The incident took place in the Turksib district of Almaty, at a lake on Mailin Street.

"The man got into trouble — he became stuck in a swampy area. The city’s Emergency Situations Department received the call, and a rapid response team from the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene. Upon arrival, rescuers found that the man was unable to free himself from the mire," the ministry said.

The victim was pulled out of the swamp and handed over to the police.
