On November 20, police officers discovered an attempt to sell a lion cub near one of the city's markets. Operatives found the lion cub in the trunk of a car belonging to a resident of the Turkestan region.
The police have registered a criminal case regarding the illegal handling of rare and endangered species of animals, as well as species prohibited for use. Investigative measures are currently underway.
