Tengrinews.kz - The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced the arrest of individuals who were wanted internationally on charges of large-scale fraud.

Their actions caused a total financial damage of 650 million tenge to Kazakhstanis.

"In Karaganda, a 45-year-old man was arrested. In July 2018, while in Aktobe, he fraudulently acquired 100 million tenge under the pretext of purchasing real estate in the capital. In Almaty, a 44-year-old woman was arrested. In 2023, she deceived citizens into giving her over 516 million tenge under the guise of delivering consumer goods, specifically vegetables and fruits," - stated the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In Astana, a 60-year-old local woman was arrested. In September of last year, she fraudulently acquired 30 million tenge under the pretext of purchasing housing through a subsidized loan scheme.

In Moscow, a 30-year-old Kazakhstani was arrested for also deceitfully obtained tens of millions of tenge, according to Shyngys Alekeshev, head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs department.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs also reported that since the beginning of the year, police have detained 1,360 criminal offenders and located over a thousand missing persons.
