Tengrinews.kz – The transportation company City Transportation Systems (CTS) has put up various real estate properties in Astana for auction, including land plots, buildings, and unfinished structures. The proceeds will be used to help complete the Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.
The auction will take place this month, and the full list of assets is available on the platform e-qazyna.kz, where dozens of CTS-owned lots are listed for sale.
For example, on September 9, a land plot in the Nura district will go up for auction, with a starting price of 337,710,279 tenge.

Plots in Nura, Saryarka, and Yesil districts differ in both price and size.
On the same day, September 9, an auction will also be held for the unfinished residential complex Birlik House located on Bokeykhan Street in Astana, with a starting price of 3.28 billion tenge. This lot will be sold through a price-increasing format.

CTS explained how these properties ended up in their ownershipю
“According to Article 341 of the Civil Code, City Transportation Systems LLP received claim rights used to secure obligations. In the process of recovering debts through the assignment of claim rights, the company accepted these properties as settlement of debt,” CTS said in an official response to Tengrinews.kz.
If the properties are not sold, they will be relisted for auction.
Earlier, it was reported that 332.4 billion tenge from a targeted transfer from the National Fund would be allocated for the LRT project in the 2025 state budget.
CTS added that the funds from these property sales will provide additional financing for the LRT, but the overall implementation of the project does not depend solely on them.
Meanwhile, Astana's city council deputies have already approved the official names of the LRT stations.
