King of Jordan presented AlemAI center at Astana Hub

Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and King Abdullah II of Jordan visited the international technology park Astana Hub, citing Akorda.

The two leaders were introduced to Kazakhstan’s latest achievements in IT and artificial intelligence.

Astana Hub is the largest innovation cluster in Central Asia, home to more than 1,700 IT companies.

In 2024, total investment in the hub surpassed 700 million US dollars, while IT service exports exceeded 650 million dollars.

Alongside business development, Astana Hub runs major educational initiatives such as Tech Orda, TUMO, and Tomorrow School, which train tens of thousands of young specialists each year. The hub also carries out acceleration programs in partnership with Google for Startups.

Minister of Digital Development, Innovations, and Aerospace Industry Zhaslan Madiyev presented the concept of the International Artificial Intelligence Center AlemAI, which is set to open in Astana this fall.

President Tokayev and King Abdullah II also learned about projects from Kazakh companies that are gaining ground internationally. Among them:

• epsilon3.ai – a lab developing AI solutions for the public sector;
• Qalan – a math education platform used by more than 1 million students in Kazakhstan and abroad;
• inDrive – a global platform offering passenger transport, delivery and freight services;
• KazDream – Kazakhstan’s largest IT company, working in the fields of national security, border control, and cybersecurity.

The King’s visit comes a day after his official talks with President Tokayev on August 27 in Astana. Following the negotiations, the two delegations exchanged a number of signed intergovernmental and commercial agreements.
