Tengrinews.kz - President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and King Abdullah II of Jordan held narrow-format talks in Astana.
Tokayev thanked the King for accepting his invitation to visit Astana and warmly recalled his own trip to Amman earlier this year.
“Your Majesty! First of all, I would like to welcome you to Kazakhstan. It's a big honor for us to host your official visit, and taking this opportunity, I would like to express my appreciation for having accepted my invitation to visit Kazakhstan. It's not your first visit, and I understand you are closely following developments in our country. We have a number of bilateral issues on the agenda to discuss. Yesterday we had a constructive conversation on both bilateral cooperation and international matters. I was very impressed with your deep understanding of the current global situation. I am confident that today we will have another excellent opportunity to exchange views. Cooperation between Jordan and Kazakhstan is developing successfully, but there are still many promising areas to discuss,” Tokayev said.

“Your Excellency, my dear brother! Thank you sincerely for your kind words and warm welcome. This visit continues your very successful trip to my country a few months ago. Kazakhstan is very close to me. Each time I come here, I am impressed with how your country prospers under your leadership. As you rightly noted, we had meaningful discussions yesterday across different areas of cooperation. I am confident that today’s visit will open a new chapter in strengthening relations between Jordan and Kazakhstan,” King Abdullah II said.
