KazTransGas and Kolon Corporation of South Korea signed a memorandum on construction of 95 CNG filling stations in Kazakhstan, Novosti Kazakhstan reports. The document was signed in Astana August 24 at the Kazakh – South Korea business forum held during the official visit of President Lee Myung-bak of South Korea. “The project is estimated at $100 million”, Daniyar Berlibayev, Director General of KazTransGas told journalists following the signing ceremony. According to him, the companies are already working to construct 5 such filling stations in Almaty, the biggest city of Kazakhstan. “Altogether, 100 CNG filling stations will be launched, with 2 of the first 5 to be completed this year”, Mr. Berlibayev said.
