Tengrinews.kz — Kazhydromet has published a warning for residents of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey on its official website.
The information concerns the air quality forecast for Wednesday.
“On the night of June 10, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in the cities of Ust-Kamenogorsk and Semey,” the statement said.
Unfavorable meteorological conditions in the form of air pollution are a combination of short-term weather factors — calm weather, light wind, fog and inversion — that contribute to the accumulation of harmful pollutants in the near-surface layer of the atmosphere.
According to forecasters, partly cloudy weather with no precipitation is expected in Ust-Kamenogorsk. Southeast wind will shift to northwest, reaching 1–6 m/s at night and 5–10 m/s during the day. Temperatures will be 15–17°C at night and 32–34°C during the day.
In Semey, partly cloudy weather with no precipitation is expected. Southeast wind will shift to northwest, reaching 1–6 m/s at night and 7–12 m/s during the day. Temperatures will be 15–17°C at night, with intense heat of up to 33–35°C during the day.
