Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has warned residents of Astana, Almaty, and other cities in various regions of the country.
"On November 20, 2024, adverse meteorological conditions causing air pollution are expected in the cities of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Ridder, Atyrau, Pavlodar, Almaty, and Astana," the report states.
Adverse weather conditions involve a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, little wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the ground layer of the atmosphere.
Earlier, meteorologists published an advisory weather forecast for winter 2024/2025, according to which Kazakhstan residents can expect "temperature swings" with sharp fluctuations and challenging weather conditions.
