Kazhydromet warns residents of Astana, Almaty, and seven other cities

Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has issued a warning for residents of Astana, Almaty, and other cities across different regions of the country.

"On March 27, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in the cities of Kokshetau, Pavlodar, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Atyrau, Aktobe, Aktau, Almaty, and at night in Astana," the statement reads.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the lower layers of the atmosphere.

Weather in Astana

The capital will see partly cloudy skies on March 27 with no precipitation. A southeast wind of 3-8 m/s at night and 9-14 m/s during the day is expected. Temperatures will be -6 to -8°C at night and +5 to +7°C during the day.

Weather in Almaty

The metropolis will experience partly cloudy weather with no precipitation. A northeast wind of 3-8 m/s is expected. Temperatures will range from 0 to -2°C at night and +10 to +12°C during the day.

Earlier, Kazhydromet released the weather forecast for Kazakhstan for March 27-29.
