Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has issued a warning for residents of Astana, Almaty, and six other cities in Kazakhstan.

Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has issued a warning for residents of Astana, Almaty, and six other cities in Kazakhstan.

"On January 14, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions for air pollution are expected in the cities of Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash, Temirtau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Atyrau, Almaty, and Astana," the statement said.

Unfavorable weather conditions involve a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of the atmosphere.

Earlier, meteorologists shared the expected weather conditions for January in Kazakhstan.
