Tengrinews.kz - Meteorologists from Kazhydromet have issued a warning for residents of Astana, Almaty, and five other cities in Kazakhstan.

Tengrinews.kz - Meteorologists from Kazhydromet have issued a warning for residents of Astana, Almaty, and five other cities in Kazakhstan.

"On January 15, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions leading to air pollution are expected in Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash, Temirtau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Almaty, and Astana," the statement reads.

Unfavorable weather conditions refer to a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light winds, fog, inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the lower layers of the atmosphere.

Earlier, meteorologists shared the expected weather conditions for January in Kazakhstan.
