Kazhydromet warns Almaty residents

Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet has issued a warning to residents of Almaty and two other cities where unfavorable weather conditions are expected.

“On August 9, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in Almaty, Aktobe, and at night in Atyrau,” the statement said.

Such conditions, which can lead to increased air pollution, occur when short-term weather factors—like calm winds, light breezes, fog, or temperature inversions—trap harmful substances close to the ground.

Earlier, Kazhydromet released the weather forecast for Kazakhstan for August 9.
