Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet warned residents of Astana, Almaty and other cities in different regions of the country.

"On November 18, 2024, unfavorable meteorological conditions of air pollution are expected in the cities of Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash, Temirtau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Ridder, Atyrau, Aktobe, Shymkent, Almaty, Astana," the report says.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion), which contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.

Earlier, forecasters clarified the weather forecast for the upcoming winter 2024/2025 in Kazakhstan.
