The information concerns the air quality forecast for Monday.

“On June 1, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Ridder and Almaty, and at night in Aktobe,” the statement said.

Adverse meteorological conditions referring to air pollution are a combination of short-term weather factors (calm winds, light breezes, fog, and temperature inversions) that facilitate the accumulation of harmful pollutants in the surface layer of the atmosphere..

According to meteorologists, the first day of summer in Almaty will bring variable cloudiness and no precipitation. Southwest winds are expected at 3–8 meters per second, with daytime gusts reaching 13 meters per second. Temperatures will range from 20–22°C at night to a high of 33–35°C during the day.

In Aktobe, variable cloudiness is forecast with rain during the day. Winds will shift from southeast to northwest at 3–8 meters per second. Temperatures will be between 8–10°C at night and 17–19°C during the day.

Semey will see variable cloudiness and no precipitation. Northeast winds will blow at 3–8 meters per second. Nighttime temperatures are expected to be 13–15°C, rising to a sweltering 33–35°C during the day.

In Ust-Kamenogorsk, variable cloudiness and dry conditions are expected. Northwest winds will reach 3–8 meters per second. Temperatures will be 13–15°C at night, with daytime highs of 31–33°C. Overall, the East Kazakhstan region is expected to remain dry. Northwest winds will reach 9–14 meters per second. Nighttime temperatures will range from 13–18°C (8°C in the east), with daytime highs of 29–34°C (up to 25°C in the east).
