Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet forecasters warned residents of Almaty and 9 other cities.

"On January 6, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions of air pollution are expected in the cities of Pavlodar, Karaganda, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash, Temirtau, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Ridder, Atyrau, Almaty," the report says.

Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion), which contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.
