Tengrinews.kz - Kazhydromet forecasters warned residents of Almaty.
"On December 23, 2024, unfavorable meteorological conditions of air pollution are expected in the cities of Almaty, Zhezkazgan, Balkhash," the report says.
Unfavorable meteorological conditions are a combination of short-term meteorological factors (calm, light wind, fog, inversion), which contribute to the accumulation of harmful (polluting) substances in the surface layer of atmospheric air.
In Almaty on December 23, variable cloudiness is expected, no precipitation is expected. Fog is possible at times. Air temperature at night 13-15, during the day 5-7 below zero.
Earlier, forecasters clarified the weather forecast for winter 2024/2025 in Kazakhstan. It is noted that in general, the winter temperature regime is expected to be within the climatic norm with precipitation exceeding the long-term norm. However, periods with cessation of precipitation and abnormally low air temperatures are not excluded.
