Kazhydromet issues warning for residents of Astana and Almaty

Tengrinews.kz – Kazhydromet has issued an alert on its official website for residents of Astana, Almaty, and five other cities.

"On November 14, 2025, unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in the cities of Atyrau, Aktobe, Shymkent, Almaty, Astana, Karaganda, and Temirtau," the statement said.

Reference: Unfavorable meteorological conditions related to air pollution are a combination of short-term weather factors (calm winds, light winds, fog, temperature inversion) that contribute to the accumulation of harmful pollutants in the surface layer of the atmosphere.

On November 14, the capital is expected to have partly cloudy skies, no precipitation. Roads may be icy. Winds from the south at 3–8 m/s. Air temperature: –9 to –11°C at night, –0 to –2°C during the day.
